Olympic Games in Rio

Penetron technology proudly stands behind the decade-long construction effort of the 37 venues, and surrounding infrastructure, for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which kicked off on Friday the 5th of August.

With an expected turnout of half a million tourists, adjustments and restructuring had to be made to Rio's Public Infrastructure and Culture and Hospitality locations.

Penetron's crystalline waterproofing technology got its chance to shine in projects such as the Olympic Village, but most especially in the Olympic Aquatic Park and restructuring of many other seaside locations in preparation for this momentous event.

Sites visited were:

  • Zen Dai Construction Site

  • Nanjing Museum
  • Yue Jiang Tower
  • The Presidential Palace
  • Xuanwu Lake
  • Confucius Temple
  • Qinhuaj River
